What is it and why should I do it?

The DofE is a programme of activities set up by The Duke of Edinburgh over 50 years ago to give young people the chance to discover new ideas and challenges.

It's a flexible programme, where you can decide what activities you choose to do.

Taking part in The Duke of Edinburgh's Award can give you new experiences, independence, a sense of achievement, self-confidence, leadership & teamwork skills and the chance to make new friends.

The DofE is very highly regarded by universities and employers, and is often the first thing they will look for on your UCAS form or CV.

If you have any questions, please call our DofE Team on 0208 530 8220 or email dofe@jlgb.org.

A record 800 Jewish young people are expected to enrol for JLGB's unique kosher Duke of Edinburgh's Award provision this season from schools, youth groups, synagogues and communities across the UK.
